Description

Cruck Cottage is probably of 16th century origin and is a cruck-frame cottage. The timber frame is exposed, with rendered infill panels, and the cruck trusses are visible at the ends and inside. It has a new tile roof with gabled ends. The cottage originally comprised one bay and one storey with an attic. Later additions include new casement windows with leaded panes, a new plank door with a gabled hood, and a gabled dormer. A modern one-storey extension is present on the east side, and a modern one-storey and attic wing extends from the rear (south).
