Description
The Shrubbery is a mid-19th century building located on Madeley Road in Ironbridge. It is constructed of blue brick with stone and yellow brick dressings, featuring a sandstone plinth. The building stands two storeys high and has a gable on the right side with a raking hood mould. There are two casement windows, each with hood moulds.
On the ground floor, there is a rectangular bay window made of brick, topped with a castellated parapet, and a canted oriel window with a stone surround. The gabled wing on the east side includes a stone porch and a doorway, both with pointed arched heads. The eaves are bracketed and made of moulded brick, while the gables are stone coped and include kneelers. The building features clustered stacks with spirally grooved shafts and has a tiled roof.
