Description

Prospect House is a mid-19th century house built of buff brick. It features a low-pitched hipped slate roof with eaves that overhang. The house is positioned with its back to the road and has two storeys, while it overlooks the Severn Gorge from a steep bank, giving it a total height of four storeys. The principal west elevation has two main storeys with two sash windows on the first floor, which do not have glazing bars and are set under segmental arched lintels with keyblocks. On the ground floor, there are French windows framed by moulded architraves, leading to an ornate cast-iron verandah supported by brick piers, which also has a slate hipped roof. A central brick stack is present on the roof.
