Description

Horsehay Works Offices is a 19th-century red brick corner building, L-shaped in plan, and stands two storeys high. It features eight and ten-window ranges, with cast-iron lintels. The windows include some metal frames and others are sash style. The roof is plain tiled with gabled ends. During the late 18th century and most of the 19th century, the Horsehay Ironworks was part of the Coalbrookdale Company Ironworks and was operated by members of the Darby family. The works were taken over by the Simpson family shortly after 1886.
