The Bottle Oven located at the rear of 120 Uttoxeter Road and 23, 25, and 27 Short Street in Longton is a notable structure from the mid-19th century, with later refurbishments. This brick bottle oven is a tall, circular hovel used for the calcining process. The site also features a row of three workers' cottages, each designed with a single-unit plan, which face Short Street.
