Description

Rudge Hall dates back to the medieval period, with a barrel-vaulted cellar and some original timberwork indicating its early origins. The building underwent less successful alterations in the early 19th century, followed by a substantial reconstruction around 1930. This resulted in a handsome Queen Anne style facade and significant internal remodelling. The hall is constructed of brick with stone dressings, topped with a hipped tile roof and brick stacks. The front features five sash windows, each with moulded stone surrounds and tall pilasters topped with Corinthian capitals. A three-arched loggia is present on the south side. Inside, there is a pillared hall and some surviving old panelling.
