Shown on O.S. map as Isle Farm. House, now disused. Probably mid-to late C15 with C17 addition. Partly rebuilt or refaced in the late C18 or early C19 and further extended and altered at the rear in the late C19. Timber framed with painted brick nogging, partly rebuilt or refaced in red brick, painted to front.Extended in red brick to rear. Plain tile roofs. Framing: C17 rectangular panels (4 from sole plate to wall plate) with long straight tension braces. Hall range of 2 framed bays, with projecting gabled cross wing (truncated) of 2 framed bays; later additions to east. One storey and attic with 2-storey cross wing and additions. West front: large central brick ridge stack. Large partly-rebuilt timber framed gabled eaves dormer off-centre to left with crown-post truss and segmental-headed 2-light wooden casement. Ground- Floor segmental-headed 2-light wooden casement to left and central segmental- headed boarded door. Catslide roof over one-storey lean-to in angle to right with dentil brick eaves cornice, 2-light window to front and small window to side; Cross wing unfenestrated to front and side truncated end has tie- beam truss with raking struts. Right-hand return front: 4 bays; segmental- headed boxed glazing bar sashes, except for first-floor 2-light wooden casement in second bay from left. C20 half-glazed segmental-headed door in second bay from left. Rear with 2 hipped bays to left and gabled range to right. Interior: left-hand ground-floor room has heavily moulded cross-beamed ceiling with moulded joists too. Old nail-studded door with 3 tall panels into right-hand passage. Passageway with some C18 raised and fielded panelling, old boarded door to basement with old strap hinges, and staircase with C18 turned balusters in side window. Attic to hall range with old floorboards. First-floor rear room has fireplace with C17 cable-fluted surround (probably reused) and early C18 door with 4 raised and fielded panels. First-floor front room to cross wing has chamfered ceiling beam with ogee stops. Various C17 panelled doors. This is the former home farmhouse to The Isle (q.v.) nearby.
