Description
116 and 117 Longden Coleham are a pair of shops that were originally part of a foundry, dating from the late 18th century. The buildings are constructed of brick and feature a plain tiled roof. They rise to three storeys and have a ten-window range, although many of the original openings have been blocked. The ground floor has inserted shop fronts, with two fixed-light windows above, and several other blocked openings. In the right-hand section, there are four inserted windows. On the second storey, the blocked openings alternate with fixed-light windows. Gable end stacks are present. These buildings are the only remaining structures from Hazeldine's Foundry, which was established in 1796.
