Description

Asterton Hall is an early to mid-18th century farmhouse. It is built of red brick in a random bond, with some areas roughcast, and has a plain tiled roof with raised verges, kneelers, and an integrated stack at the north gable end. A tall lateral stack is situated against the west wall. The house stands on a chamfered brick plinth over cellars and has brick floor bands running around all levels. The main facade, facing east (towards the road), has four bays, originally featuring windows with cambered heads, though most are now blocked. A 19th-century casement window remains on the first floor, and there is a gabled eaves dormer. The entrance is on the west side, accessed by a single flight of steps. The house was reported to be in poor condition due to neglect during a survey in June 1984.
