Description
Middle Walton Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the early 19th century, with later additions and alterations. It is constructed of red brick and features a slate roof with coped verges, an external end stack to the right, and a ridge stack to the left. The building has two storeys and a gable-lit attic, with a dentilled eaves cornice. The front has four windows, which are flush-framed glazing bar sashes with painted stone cills and lintels. The entrance is located in the third bay from the left and consists of a mid-19th century half-glazed door set in a plain moulded doorcase, topped with a bracketed flat hood. The farmhouse is shown on the 1844 Tithe Map of Worthen parish, where it is marked as Upper Walton.
