Description
The fowl house, or dovecote, is attached to the north-east corner of Sweeney Hall and dates from the late 18th century, with some later alterations. It is constructed of red brick and features a pedimented slate roof with a late 19th-century corbelled eaves cornice. The structure has a central pediment that is square in shape, flanked by lower lean-tos. There is an inserted doorway in the center, a roughly square opening to the right, and a segmental-headed doorway on the left lean-to. The pediment includes pigeon nesting holes and slate ledges.
