Description
Benthall Hall is a late 16th-century building constructed of ashlar stone. It features two storeys plus attics and has two angular (five-sided) bays that include continuous mullioned and transomed windows on both levels. The hall is adorned with five gables, each showcasing six-light mullioned and transomed windows. A square two-storey porch with a plain entrance arch is also present, along with five stacks that have diagonal brick shafts. Inside, the hall boasts an impressive enriched staircase and a panelled room with a moulded plaster ceiling, which dates back to the 17th century. Benthall Hall is a property managed by the National Trust.
