Description
Willey Old Hall is a late 16th to 17th century range that originally served as the domestic outbuildings for a now-destroyed hall. It occupies two sides of a quadrangle and is constructed of stone, featuring two storeys and attics. The building has mullioned windows throughout, a plain round-headed arch, and four plain gables. On the right-hand side, there is an octagonal tower topped with a conical tiled roof and early 19th century windows. The rear face, which faces the courtyard, displays plain eaves with two gabled dormers and a large gable above the gatehouse arch. There are single-storeyed coach-gables, with the central one having blocked three-light mullioned windows. The interiors still retain some original features, contributing to the picturesque quality of the group. St John's Church, Willey Old Hall, and Church Row form a cohesive group.
