Barn and stable range. C17 barn with C18 stable ranges and early C19 horse gin house. Weatherboarded timber frame to barn, coursed rubble stone to left stable range with timber framed 1st floor, and coursed rubble stone to right stable range. Brick piers on stone base to gin. Plain-tile roofs overall. U plan with barn across centre stable ranges projecting to rear on either end and gin projecting forward to centre left. Barn is of 7 bays of heavy square panel framing. 2 threshing floors with opposing doorways. Interior: partition walls have some brick infill to panels, weatherboarding and some split wooden interlace panels. Queen-strut roof with double trenched purlins, clasped principals and ridge piece. Stable range to left is of 2 storeys with stable doors and windows under hay loft. Probably 6 bays. Loft full of hay at survey but gable end shows old double purlins. Stable range to right has stable doors and windows under cambered arches. 2 storeys. Interior: 5-bay queen-post roof with double purlins and clasped principals. 1 interrupted truss. The gin is circular and has a low conical roof supported on brick piers standing on high stone plinth. C20 windows fill spaces. Interior: machinery has gone but roof remains with crossed beams and carefully fashioned curving wall plate and 2 tiers of curved purlins.
