Description

The Elms is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a hipped Welsh slate roof with brick ridge stacks. The building has two storeys and a five-window arrangement of 6/6 sashed windows with gauged brick lintels, arranged in a pattern of 2:1:2, with slightly projecting sections on either side of a four-columned Doric porch. The doorcase includes part-glazed doors and an overlight. Additional architectural details include a plinth, a store band, and a moulded cornice. To the right, there is a similar three-window front. The rear and left sides of the house have further sashes, and there is a subsidiary wing.
