5/5 Screen wall and pier - adjoining Attingham Park entrance screen and lodges to east

GV II

Screen wall and pier. Circa 1805-7, probably by John Nash. Red brick wall with sandstone ashlar plinth and coping; grey sandstone ashlar end piers. Approximately 20 metres long and ramped up to left. Square end pier with banded rustication, moulded plinth, frieze, moulded cornice, and swagged urn finial. The wall adjoins the entrance screen and lodges to Attingham Park (q.v.).
