5/3 Screen wall and pier - adjoining Attingham Park entrance screen and lodges to west

GV II

Screen wall and pier. Circa 1805-7, probably by John Nash. Red brick wall with sandstone ashlar plinth and coping; grey sandstone ashlar end pier. Approximately 20 metres long and ramped up to right. Square end pier with banded rustication, moulded plinth, frieze, moulded cornice, and swagged urn finial. The wall adjoins the entrance-screen and lodge to Attingham Park (q.v.).
