Description

The Medlicott Memorial is a pedestal tomb located approximately 15 metres southeast of the apse of the Church of St. John the Baptist in Bishop's Castle. It dates from 1836 and is constructed from sandstone ashlar. The memorial features a central cube that is topped with a pyramidal capping, which is supported by free-standing corner columns adorned with shallow-carved foliage capitals. This tomb is dedicated to Thomas Medlicott.
