Description

Old Bell Cottages, comprising numbers 1, 2, and 3, are a group of cottages dating from the early 19th century, originally timber-framed. Number 2 is constructed of coursed rubble; the remaining cottages are of rubble construction. The cottages have a plain tile roof and two brick ridge stacks. They are arranged with a three-unit plan and are two storeys high, featuring a six-window front with 2-light casement windows. Number 1 and 2 have 20th-century plank doors, each set under a brick segmental arch and covered by a rustic porch. Number 1 has one 2-light casement window, while number 3 also has one. Number 2 has two 3-light casement windows similarly set under brick segmental arches and includes a rear wing.
