Description

The bee house, located approximately 15 metres to the south-west of the kitchen garden walls, is likely from the early 19th century and was restored in the 20th century. It features a weatherboarded timber frame and a hipped slate roof, standing at one storey high. The front has six bays with depressed-arched lattice openings, and there are two tiers of depressed-arched openings for internal shelves. The sides have three bays and include a lattice door. This structure is noted as an example of a now rare building type.
