Description
Knoll Lodge is an estate lodge dated 1882, as noted on the rainwater heads. It is built from sandstone ashlar and features slate roofs, designed in the T-plan Queen Anne Revival Style. The building is one storey high and includes a plinth, raised quoins, a moulded cornice, a blocking course, and triangular pedimented gable ends with keyed blank circular panels in the tympana. There are two stacks with moulded cornices. The windows are sashes with vertical glazing bars and raised architraves, and there is a canted bay with a cornice on the west side. A porch is located in the angle of the T to the north-west, featuring a keyed round arch and a triangular pedimented gable end above, along with a six-panelled door that has a moulded architrave.
