Description
Oakly Park Lodge is a lodge built around 1826 by C.R. Cockerell. It features an ashlar plinth, brick construction, and a Welsh slate gabled roof with a rendered brick ridge stack. The building is a single storey with an attic. The front has steps leading to a vestibule that is topped by an open pediment, which includes an arch and pilasters made of ashlar. There is a false two-leaf door with two lights that have glazing bars, set within a moulded architrave, and a plain door on the left side, also in a moulded architrave. Above, there is a cornice and a figurehead.
On the left side, there are three two-light casements beneath gauged brick flat arches. The right side mirrors this with three two-light casements under similar arches. A moulded ashlar band runs along the modillioned eaves, which is interrupted by a gable dormer that contains a two-light casement under a gauged brick flat arch. At the rear, there is a 20th-century part-glazed, panelled door in a moulded ashlar case, leading to a basement service area that features a semi-circular ashlar wall and an ashlar band above.
