Description

The plunge bath, located approximately 300 metres southeast of Pitchford Hall, dates from the late 18th century and was likely built for Adam Ottley of Pitchford Hall. It is constructed of coursed rubble and ashlar. The square pool measures about 4 metres on each side and features an internal step on three sides. On the eastern side, there is a semicircular recess cut into the rock bank. Additionally, a drain channel is present on the western side, leading into Row Brook.
