Description

Steventon Manor is a house dating from the early 17th century. It is constructed of rubble and features a plain tile roof with three gables on the front. The building has an E-shaped plan and is two storeys high, with an attic and cellar. The façade has an eight-window range, with 20th-century casements that have glazing bars, designed in a 15/15 sash style.

The central porch bay has a semi-circular arch that leads to a wide studded plank door set in a moulded oak case. Above the door is a niche and a window, featuring a wood mullion three-light leaded window in the gable. To the left of the porch are two windows, and to the right is one window, with two additional windows in each of the two large gable wings.

On the left side of the building, there are three 20th-century casements, a mullioned light in a moulded oak frame, and two similar windows for the cellar. The right side has two 20th-century windows and a plank door with a light, also in a moulded oak frame.

At the rear, there are three stone buttress stacks with one, two, and three brick chimneys, along with 20th-century windows, one mullion window, and one mullion and transom window with leaded lights. There is a blocked opening and a plank door under an oak lintel. A small wing on the right has two mullion windows with leaded lights in the gable end, and a plank door under a timber lintel on the left side.
