Description

This sundial, located approximately 40 metres north of the nave of the Church of Saint Peter in Adderley, is likely from the 18th century. It is made of red sandstone and features a square base with two steps, a tapered square shaft with chamfered corners, and a cubic dial block topped with wrought-iron gnomons and a globe finial. It is believed that this sundial may incorporate parts of a former medieval churchyard or village cross, particularly the shaft.
