Description
This barn, located approximately 30 meters south-east of Sheinton Hall Farmhouse, is likely from the late 17th century and has undergone later additions and alterations. It features a weather-boarded timber frame and a plain tile roof. The structure consists of a three-bay threshing barn with single-bay additions at each end, and there is a sliding door in the center bay. Inside, the framing is visible, showcasing single tall rectangular panels with long straight tension braces. The roof has a double-purlin design with raking struts from tie beams that support the principal rafters, along with V-struts from collars to the former gable ends. The single-bay additions have end trusses of a similar design, and there is a loft over the left bay. Sheinton Hall Farmhouse is not included in this listing.
