Description
The former stable block at Belswardyne Hall is a late 18th-century building that has been extended in the late 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a machine-tiled roof. The structure has two levels and originally included a central gabled section with flanking wings. The left wing has a blind elliptical arch, while the right wing has a segmental arch that now contains 20th-century double doors. The late 19th-century extension on the right also features a segmental arch, which is now blocked and has a 20th-century casement window inserted. The central gable includes a round-headed doorway with a tympanum and gauged brickwork above, flanked by fixed-light windows, and there is a similar round-headed doorway above. Inside, the gabled section contains 19th-century stable boxes. This building is included for its group value with the hall.
