Description

The summerhouse, located approximately 200 metres southwest of Pell Wall, was likely built around 1860. It features a rustic wooden post construction with woven brushwood panels and has a pyramidal plain tile roof. The building has an octagonal shape and is a single storey. A continuous verandah, supported by posts resting on sandstone pads and featuring angle braces, surrounds the structure. There is also rustic bench-seating along the verandah. Gothic windows are present on the east and west sides, while a circular window is located on the south. The north side has an open three-bay entrance.

Inside, there is continuous rustic bench-seating around the walls and a central octagonal wooden table supported in a rustic style. The walls and ceiling are finished with diagonal wooden boarding. The entrance features three wooden roller blinds with pelmets. These boarded interiors and roller blinds may have been added around 1900, and the summerhouse itself might date from that time. The central light fitting is likely from the early 20th century. The summerhouse is situated within wooded grounds to the west of Pell Wall.
