Description
The boat house, located approximately 60 metres to the south-west of Albrighton Hall, was likely built around 1885. It is constructed from snecked dressed grey sandstone and features a flat stone roof. The structure includes a segmental-arched opening facing the lake, with a 2-light opening above that has a chamfered stone mullion. There is a boarded door on the shore side with chamfered reveals, which is accessed via a flight of stone steps flanked by stepped stone walls. Inside, there is a walkway on one side. The boat house is situated next to a small lake within the grounds of Albrighton Hall, which was enlarged in 1885, suggesting that the boat house may have been built around the same time. It has also been referred to as a bath house or pump house.
