Description

Melville House and Wheatlea House are a pair of houses dating from around 1830. They are constructed of brick with a Welsh slate roof. The houses have two storeys and a four-window front, with recessed wings extending to each side. A wide bay window is located on the lower left, while the remaining windows are 12-pane sashes, each with a flat-arched gauged brick head. One upper window is blind and painted. A wooden eaves cornice features thin paired brackets, with central and end wall stacks. A doorway is situated in the single-storey wing to the left, and another in the recessed two-storey, two-window-range wing to the right.
