Description
Alderton House is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a hipped slate roof. The building has two storeys at the front and three storeys at the rear. There are brick ridge stacks located off-centre to the left and right. The facade consists of three bays with glazing bar sash windows that have painted stone lintels. The central entrance features a six-panelled door with a margin-light rectangular overlight above. A grey sandstone tetrastyle Greek Doric porch enhances the entrance, supported by paired fluted columns and unfluted pilasters, with an entablature and blocking course above. On the right-hand return front, there is one three-light segmental-headed wooden casement window on each floor to the right. The interior has not been inspected.
