Description

The Presbyterian Church of Wales Chapel and Chapel House is an independent chapel and manse, now serving as a Presbyterian church, built in 1833. It features red sandstone ashlar with hipped slate roofs and is designed in a Gothic style with three bays. The building has a chamfered plinth and tall two-light windows adorned with Y-tracery, cills, and raised arches.

On the south-east front, there are two windows flanking a central six-panelled door, which is sheltered by a stone porch supported by two circular columns with square capitals, leading to a pointed arch and coping. Above the door, there is a datestone inscribed with "INDEPENDENT/CHAPEL/1833" and another datestone on the south-east front that reads "PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH/OF/WALES/1920".

Adjoining the chapel to the north-west is the manse, which is two storeys high and features a plinth and two integral lateral brick stacks. The south-east front of the manse has one glazing bar sash window on each floor and a four-panelled door located on the left-hand return front, which is accessed via a hipped-roofed stone porch.

Although the interior of the chapel was not inspected, it is noted to have a west gallery supported by circular columns, a panelled front, and raked seating. This chapel was established following the successful preaching of the Rev. George Rogers of Bomere Heath.
