Description
The former dovecote, located approximately 5 metres to the west of Marche Manor, is likely from the 17th or 18th century. It has been partly demolished and altered in the late 19th century. The structure is built of painted coursed sandstone rubble and features a pyramidal plain tile roof from the 19th century. It has a circular plan and is a single storey high. A weathervane is present on the roof. The dovecote has square windows on the north and south-west sides, along with boarded doors on the north-west and south sides. There are no nest holes in the remaining part of the dovecote, which is connected to Marche Manor by a covered way that likely dates from the late 19th century. This building is included for its group value with Marche Manor.
