Description
This building, known as the premises occupied by The Good Life, is a pair of shops that were likely originally built as a dwelling. It dates from the late 16th century, with 18th-century facades. The structure is timber-framed and encased in brick, topped with a plain tiled roof. It has two storeys and features hipped gabled dormers in the attic. The front has a five-window range, with paired central doors flanked by small shop windows and an additional doorway to the right, all of which have been renewed. Most of the upper windows are 12-pane sashes, with a 6-pane sash above the left-hand doorway and a 2-light casement to the right. The building also has a dentilled eaves band. Inside, the timber-framed structure is exposed, displaying square panels with arched bracing.
