Description

Nos 147 to 151 on The Homend are a terrace of cottages built around 1860. They are made of red brick, featuring courses of yellow and blue bricks. The cottages have tiled roofs with gable ends and exposed rafters at the eaves. They are two storeys high and six windows wide, with segmental-headed openings. The ground floor has three-light wood mullion casements, while the first floor has two-light casements, all with glazing bars and stone ramped cills. The doorways are plain with boarded doors that have vertical cover moulds. There are brick chimney stacks. This group of cottages is included for their collective architectural value, along with Nos 147 to 163 (odd) and No 183.
