Description

The Old Rectory is an early 19th-century house, altered in the 20th century. It is constructed of red brick with a slate roof. The house has a rectangular plan with a central entrance and end stacks facing east. A service wing adjoins the main building to the north, and later additions extend to the south. The front of the house has two storeys and a parapet, featuring three sash windows with glazing bars, each set beneath a flat gauged brick arch. Steps lead to a semi-circular headed doorway with a decorative fanlight and side lights, flanking a six-panelled door. A two-storey service wing, slightly set back to the right, has three two-light casement windows with glazing bars. A single-storey addition from the late 20th century is located to the left, also featuring a sash window with glazing bars. The interior has not been inspected.
