Description
Little Froome is a building located in Avenbury, dating back to the early 16th century with a north wing that features an extension from around 1700, which has been largely rebuilt. The south wing is from the early 17th century and has exposed timber framing at the rear. The front, or east side, has been completely refaced in stone during the 18th century and has slate roofs. The building is two storeys tall, with a projection on the right side, three windows featuring 19th-century sashes without glazing bars, segmental arches, and a flush panelled door.
Inside, the ground floor of the north wing has moulded ceiling beams, while the first floor has stop-chamfered ceiling beams. The ground floor also features heavy chamfered ceiling beams with a moulded plaster ceiling, and the first floor has plain ceiling beams.
