Description
Tower Hill House is a Grade II* listed building dating from 1630. It is a two-storey structure with dormers and a cellar, built with a timber frame on a high rubble base. The north front features closely set grid studding, with wallplates dividing it into four sections. The gable displays ornamental panelling and moulded barge boards, which are also present on the front of the house. A central two-storeyed porch is supported by plain square posts, and the gable has a pendant displaying the date 1630. There are double steps leading up to the porch.
Inside, the ceilings feature moulded beams and plastered ornaments, with some original panelling that includes fluted pilasters flanking the fireplace and other notable details. Tower Hill House, along with Tower Hill, Nos 1 to 3, forms a cohesive group.
