Stucco; slate mansard roof; 4 brick stacks. 3-unit plan. 3 storeys and cellars; 6-window range: 5/5 French windows with overlights, in plain architraves, with cast-iron balconies on brackets; under lead roof; storeyband; four 3/6 sashes recessed and flanked by grooved pilasters, and two 3/6 sashes with pilasters; wood eaves with console brackets. Entrances to right: fielded-panel doors, with fanlights in round headed coved cases and moulded architraves; rusticated, grooved storeyband; unit to right has two 1/1 sashes, otherwise C20 shop fronts. To rear: 3 roof-dormers; brick modillion eaves; C20 extension to No.40
