Description
The Prince of Wales Inn is a late 15th-century building that stands two storeys high. It features a tiled roof with gable ends and is timber-framed with wide plaster-filled panels. The ground floor is faced with brick and includes a fascia and cornice above. On the ground floor, there are small modern casements and a door, while the first floor has a mullion and transom casement window. At the rear, facing Church Street, there are 18th-century painted brick segmental headed windows. The inn is part of a group that includes the Town Council Offices, No 3, Public Lavatories, Hawkes and Terry, and the Old Grammar School.
