Description
Ivy Cottage is a 17th-century building located on the south side of Church Lane. The front is finished in colour-washed brick on the ground floor, while the upper part is roughcast. The rear and west gable end feature exposed timber framing. The building has a tiled roof with gable ends and is two storeys high. On the first floor, there is a 19th-century canted bay window. The ground floor includes a shop window with a cornice and pilasters, consisting of five by five panes, with only one pane opening. To the left of the shop window, there is a doorway with a pedimented hood supported by shaped brackets. Ivy Cottage is part of a group that includes Mavollry, The Old Tennery, the cottage occupied by Mrs. Willisms, Church House, and Abbots Lodge.
