Description
Dishley Court is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with later additions from the 19th century. It is constructed of painted brick, with a steep-pitched Welsh slate roof featuring a gable to the courtyard on the north side. There is a brick axial stack to the rear, and two brick stacks to the right wing. The house has two storeys and an attic, originally a single-window range. A 19th-century 8/8 sash window sits in an altered opening with a segmental arch; a 20th-century 2-light casement is set within a gable. The entrance is on the right, with a part-glazed 6-fielded panel door recessed within panelled reveals, set in a moulded architrave under a restored 20th-century flat hood. Another 8/8 sash is in an altered opening with a segmental arch, and a storey band runs overall. An early 19th-century wing to the right has two storeys and a two-window range; it features 6/6 sashes over 10/10, and a 6/6 sash, all with moulded cases and segmental arches, and brick modillion eaves. A further wing, likely dating from the 18th century and perhaps originally a granary, has a 20th-century casement window and brick modillion eaves, with steps leading to a blocked doorway. The left return side has a 20th-century 2-light casement over a 20th-century light, both under segmental arches, with a returned storey band. The rear of the house is roughcast and features two roughcast gable wings with 6/6 and 8/8 sash windows. The interior has not been inspected.
