Description
The stable and cow house, likely built in the late 18th century, is attached to the north-west side of Maes Coed Farmhouse. Constructed from coursed rubble with weatherboards and a stone slate roof, it features four bays oriented north-west to south-east. The north elevation displays weatherboards on the upper parts of the center and right sections. On the left side, there is a 3-light 18th-century diamond section wooden mullioned window with a segmental head, along with two evenly spaced loft openings. The stable has a ledged door on the left under a segmental head, while the cow house has four doors, arranged from the center to the right, with pairs located at the outer right. The overall design creates a sense of rough symmetry, with a pair of doors at each end and a relatively isolated door in the center, although the placement of the weatherboards on the first floor disrupts this symmetry. The interior has not been inspected.
