KINGS CAPLE CP KINGS CAPLE SO 52 NE 3/46 Group of four chest tombs approximately 4 m south- east of Chancel of Church of St John the Baptist GV II

Group of four chest tombs. C17 and C18. Sandstone ashlar, moulded plinth and capping. Thomas Pearce memorial: 1834, decorative end baluster, shaped end panels with swags, rectangular inscription panels with shaped inset and rosettes in spandrels. Elizabeth Pearce memorial: C18. Swagged end panels with balusters shaped sides, fielded inscription panel, inscription largely illegible. Memorial to children of John and Frances Pearce: C18. Shaped end panels with swags, fielded inscription panel with rosettes in corners. Edward Marrett, plain tomb. 1679.
