Description

This chest tomb, located about 40 metres north of the north porch of the Church of St Mary, dates from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is made of ashlar stone and features console brackets at the corners, recessed panels on the long sides, a moulded cornice, and a flat top. There is an inscription on the top, which is almost completely illegible. This tomb is a good example of stone masonry and enhances the setting of the church, contributing to the group value of the other memorials in the churchyard.
