This is a 17th or 18th century stone rubble barn located south of Lower Castleton, featuring an upper floor made of timber frame with red brick nogging. The barn has a tiled roof with gable ends. Adjoining the barn are twin-rounded red brick hop kilns, which have slate conical roofs. The barn and kilns are included in the listing for their group value.
