Description
Gold Hill Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates from the late 17th century, with remodels in the early to mid-18th century and late 19th century. The building features part timber-frame construction, which has been clad or rebuilt in red brick, and has a plain tiled roof that is hipped at the ends. It has an H-plan layout and consists of two storeys with cellars at the east end.
The facade includes five windows in the center, primarily 2- and 3-light cross windows with segmental heads on the ground floor, along with a plain string course. There is an off-centre glazed door located in a 19th-century porch. Each projecting wing at the ends has a single window, and the east elevation of the east wing features four 18-pane glazing bar sash windows in exposed boxes, also under segmental heads on the ground floor, with a plain string course.
Inside, there is a rear dog-leg staircase that has turned balusters, a moulded string, and a handrail. The rear left (east) room is adorned with oak fielded panelling.
