Description
The water fountain and troughs, built in 1902, are made of ashlar and some copper. The structure features a plinth topped with outer single pilasters that have inner chamfered corners. Each pilaster is adorned with decorative shallow corbels on the front and sides, which support an entablature extending over a single central recessed panel. A copper plaque mounted on this panel reads, "Erected by public subscription to commemorate the coronation of King Edward VII June 16 1902. Unveiled by the Honble Mrs. Noel." Above the entablature, two decorative brackets set at oblique angles provide additional support. The entablature is crowned with a dome that has vertical bands on the front, rear, and sides, culminating in a decorative finial. The dome is flanked by three decorative brackets, each topped with squat finials. At the base, there is an ashlar trough. The rear of the structure follows a similar design, featuring a smaller trough projecting from the central panel, which has the remains of a water fountain above it.
