Description
The cartshed, pigeoncote, stables, and boundary wall at Top Farm date from the mid-19th century. They are constructed of brick and topped with a pantile roof, forming an L-plan structure that is six bays wide and two bays deep, with sections that are one and two storeys high.
On the left side, the cartshed consists of two bays and features a central wooden post. To the right, there is a two-storey stable and pigeoncote, which includes a first-floor band. This section has a pair of garage doors and, above them, a casement window. To the right of the casement, there are pigeonholes that are sheltered by a bargeboarded hood. The stable to the right has a central door with a segmental head, flanked by single glazing bar sashes. The adjoining larger stable has two doors with segmental heads on the eastern side. The gable end features garage doors with a timber lintel and three diamond breathers above.
The boundary wall, which is approximately 30 meters long, is made of coursed rubble and brick, and it includes two square piers topped with concrete slab coping. This structure is included in the listing for its group value.
