Description
Jalland's Row is a row of seven cottages built around 1800 and restored in 1982. The cottages are constructed of brick and topped with a pantile roof, featuring four ridge stacks and one gable stack. The eaves are adorned with dentillation. The buildings are two storeys high and have a nine-window range of two-light Yorkshire sashes, with blind backs. The doors are close boarded, and on the ground floor, there are five doors and thirteen windows, which include Yorkshire sashes and three-light glazing bar casements, arranged irregularly. All the windows and doors have segmental heads. This row of cottages represents a type of urban housing similar to the courts found in Nottingham.
